Overview
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is hiring a Per Diem Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) for Neurocritical Care in Morristown. The role is based at Morristown Medical Center’s Luciano Family Trauma and Acute Care Center—a Level I Regional Trauma Center—and offers a per‑diem clinical management position with a minimum of two shifts per month.
Responsibilities- Obtain health histories and complete neuro and physical examinations; document findings.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests and explain anticipated effects of procedures to patients, families and healthcare team.
- Formulate and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team.
- Assess patients for change in status, institute appropriate interventions to stabilize the patient, and provide family‑centered care.
- Assist with emergency management of neuro patients outside of the ICU as needed.
- Support IRB‑approved clinical research/trials and participate in quality performance improvement activities.
- Serve as a clinical expert and leadership consultant to nursing, healthcare team members, and the larger community.
- Minimum hourly rate: $47.76
- Maximum hourly rate: $115.40

- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
- ACLS and BLS required; ENLS Certified preferred.
- 1‑2 years of experience in neurocritical care required.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
