Overview

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is hiring a Per Diem Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) for Neurocritical Care in Morristown. The role is based at Morristown Medical Center’s Luciano Family Trauma and Acute Care Center—a Level I Regional Trauma Center—and offers a per‑diem clinical management position with a minimum of two shifts per month.

• Obtain health histories and complete neuro and physical examinations; document findings.
• Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests and explain anticipated effects of procedures to patients, families and healthcare team.
• Formulate and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team.
• Assess patients for change in status, institute appropriate interventions to stabilize the patient, and provide family‑centered care.
• Assist with emergency management of neuro patients outside of the ICU as needed.
• Support IRB‑approved clinical research/trials and participate in quality performance improvement activities.
• Serve as a clinical expert and leadership consultant to nursing, healthcare team members, and the larger community.

• Minimum hourly rate: $47.76
• Maximum hourly rate: $115.40

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
• ACLS and BLS required; ENLS Certified preferred.
• 1‑2 years of experience in neurocritical care required.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
