Overview
This is a hybrid role that will only be hired in the following location:
New York City, NY.
The VP, Portfolio Manager is responsible for portfolio management activity on 26 accounts for equipment loans and leases, contributing to an aggregate portfolio exposure of $1Bn. You will make recommendations on new credit requests, renewals, and modifications, ensuring the quality and soundness of all credit transactions.
Responsibilities- Manage portfolio activity on approximately 26 equipment loan and lease accounts with a $1Bn aggregate exposure, ensuring all applicable credit policies, standards, and procedures are in full regulatory compliance.
- Make recommendations on new credit requests, renewals, and modifications, ensuring the quality and soundness of all credit transactions.
- Capture and document credit decisions, conditions, and modifications to meet client needs while balancing the bank's internal risk/return requirements.
- Utilize equipment finance knowledge across a wide range of asset classes and obligor types; periodically handle new requests from clients or surges in prospect requests.
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Credit Analysis and Credit Underwriting OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Credit Analysis and Credit Underwriting.
Preferred / Other Qualifications- Problem loan management/workout experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Moody’s Credit Lens experience.
- BA with 10+ years’ experience or MBA with 7+ years’ experience.
- Equipment finance knowledge in asset classes such as Transportation, Construction, Industrial/Manufacturing, Mining, Material Handling, Aircraft, Jones Act vessels, and Power Generation.
