The Admissions Associate plays a vital role in building meaningful connections with prospective families, guiding them through every step of the admissions journey—from initial inquiry to enrollment. In addition to providing a warm and supportive experience, the successful candidate will report to and work closely with the Director of Admissions to gain a deep understanding of what makes The Peck School such a distinctive and inspiring place—its mission, traditions, values, and community—and will fully immerse themselves in the life of the school, fostering relationships with students, faculty, and families in order to authentically and compellingly share our story.

Overview

of Responsibilities
  • Inquiry Management:
    • Respond promptly and professionally to all inquiries from prospective families, both via phone and email.
  • Application Processing:
    • Assist families in accessing, completing, and submitting applications, ensuring all required documents are received and completed.
    • Review applications and prepare files for committee review.
  • Campus Tours & Events:
    • Lead campus tours for prospective families, showcasing the school's facilities and programs.
    • Help plan and execute admissions events, including open houses, information sessions, and other outreach activities, including limited evenings and weekends.
    • Represent the school at events and school fairs.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the Director of Admissions and other members of the admissions team.
    • Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote the school's mission and values.
    • Work with parent and student ambassadors to coordinate attendance at admissions events
  • Duties:
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required;
    Master's degree a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in admissions or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with independent school admissions is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of student information systems, data management, and customer relations management systems preferred.
  • A passion for K-8 grade independent school education and a commitment to supporting families through the admissions process.

The salary for this position may range from $60,000 to $75,000 and is commensurate with experience.
