Now Hiring Diesel Mechanics/Technicians at Swift Transportation.
Location:
3800 N Division St Morris, IL 60450. Pay: $22.00-$32.00. Shift: Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:30 PM. Hiring Immediately!
Requirements include a valid driver's license, a comprehensive background check, and pre-employment hair drug screening.
ResponsibilitiesComplete a quality preventive maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc).
- Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
- Disassemble, repair and re-assemble heavy truck and trailer components, including refrigerated units, diesel engines, transmissions, axles and related systems.
- Perform tire maintenance including repairs, failure analysis, coding, and identification.
- 2+ years of related experience and/or training.
- Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills.
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals, complete/fill tags and repair orders.
- Ability to use and learn various diagnostic software used on tractors/trailers.
- Must possess excellent computer skills.
