Marketing Consultant

Grundy County Broadcasters Inc. is a local, family-owned media company serving our communities through trusted radio stations and digital platforms. We provide the local news, sports, weather, and community information listeners rely on every day and we help local businesses grow through results-driven advertising solutions.

Position Summary

We’re hiring a Marketing Consultant to join our sales team. This is a business-to-business sales role focused on helping local businesses reach customers through effective radio and digital advertising. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable prospecting and closing. Media experience is helpful, but not required. We provide training.

What You’ll Do

• Prospect, consult, present, and close advertising solutions with local businesses
• Build long-term client relationships by understanding goals, challenges, and budgets
• Create customized campaigns that may include radio, digital, and promotional opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop strong messaging and campaign execution
• Manage your pipeline and activity using CRM tools, with consistent follow-up
• Provide excellent service after the sale to support renewal and long-term success
• Meet or exceed monthly revenue goals and performance expectations

What We’re Looking For

• B2B sales experience required (advertising/media is a plus, not required)
• Proven ability to prospect, present and close
• Strong communication skills and professional presence
• Organized, consistent, and comfortable managing multiple accounts
• Coachable and motivated with a results-oriented mindset
• Familiarity with the local business community
