Parts Assistant

As a Parts Assistant, you will be responsible for handling parts requests for shop mechanics, customers, and other branches.

• Supply shop mechanics with needed service and repair parts from inventory.
• Handle walk‑in and telephone customer requests for parts.
• Assist other S  branches in finding needed parts via the Case and Smart Equip program.
• Stock parts and keep the department in good order so that parts are easily found and safety standards observed.
• Complete and process purchase orders to order parts for the group and/or customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
• Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Operate a forklift to load and unload parts.
• Counter fill in at other locations as required.

• High School Diploma.
• Knowledge of equipment and parts used in the construction industry is useful.
• Parts department experience desirable.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer operations.
• Personal and professional integrity.
• Well organized and self‑motivated.
• Detail oriented.
• Customer service oriented.
• Experience with shipping and receiving of parts.
• Ability to examine and determine replacement parts required.
• Prepare sales slips and receive payments.
• Maintain parts displays/showroom and keep parts area clean and orderly.
• Will be required to bend, pull, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
