General Maintenance

White Pines Lodge, located in Mt. Morris, Illinois, is a destination rich in tradition, delicious food and friendly faces. We operate a historic log lodge restaurant, dinner theatre, gift shop and rent cozy cabins nestled in the beautiful White Pines Forest State Park.

• Receive and complete work orders, in a timely and efficient manner, as required by Maintenance Department policies and procedures. Must assist in the completion, tracking, and reporting of work orders.
• Perform assigned maintenance and mechanical duties for buildings and associated facilities, furnishings, and equipment as requested.
• Capable of "hands on repairs" in most maintenance disciplines.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including when lifting, climbing, etc.
• Be available to assist other team members with maintenance related tasks.
• Polite, knowledgeable, and timely customer service when responding to visitor inquiries.
• Understand the Company's ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, policies, goals, and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas.
• Other duties per Duties Checklist and as assigned.

• Demonstrate basic skill in the use of tools, materials, and equipment common to maintenance and repair.
• Possess the initiative to learn and willingness to grow in maintenance operations.
• Understand and effectively follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to work on ladders, scaffolding, elevated platforms, crawl spaces, tunnels, ledges, and roofs and understand the OSHA safety requirements as applicable.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must have a valid driver's license to operate vehicles throughout the property.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent, technical certification/degree preferred
• Experience:
  
  One (1) year of general maintenance and/or construction
