Program Director - Family Counseling Center
The Program Director of the Family Counseling Center (FCC) is responsible for the overall administration, planning, supervision, and monitoring of FCC operations.
This role includes direct clinical service provision, clinical supervision of staff, policy and protocol development, data management, training facilitation, and relationship building with community stakeholders.
Shift: 8:30-5pm Monday-Friday
Pay: $55,000- $65,000 commensurate of experience
Reports to: Network Director
Network or Department: Network 9
Essential Functions:- Develops and implements policies and protocols aligned with grant requirements and clinical best practices.
- Maintains accurate service records, databases, and statistical reports.
- Monitors and evaluates program goals and outcomes, adapting as necessary to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
- Manages all aspects of FCC operations, including planning, coordination, and delivery of clinical and supportive services.
- Cultivates and maintains collaborative relationships with community-based agencies to expand access to complementary services.
- Supervises, recruits, evaluates, and supports the ongoing professional development and training of FCC staff.
- Provides individual therapy and counseling services.
- Conducts mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations; develops, implements, reviews, and revises person-centered treatment plans based on individual needs.
- Completes standardized assessments (e.g., IATP, LOCUS).
- Reviews clinical documentation and billing notes, monitors productivity targets, analyzes service data, and redistributes caseloads as needed.
- Ensures timely and accurate submission of Medicaid mental health billing.
- In-depth knowledge of community resources within Will and Grundy counties.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and clinical counseling skills.
- Strong independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal effectiveness, cultural competency, and experience working with diverse populations.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing or sitting) for extended periods.
- Ability to operate motor vehicles as needed for work-related tasks.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer and phone use.
- Occasional physical activities may include standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, balancing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions.
- Master’s degree in a behavioral health discipline.
- Independent clinical licensure by the appropriate Illinois licensing board (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT).
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.
