Enterprise Architect

Job Summary

The Enterprise Architect will lead the evolution of the end-to-end manufacturing IT landscape, ensuring alignment between technology strategy and business outcomes across plants, supply chain, engineering, and commercial functions.

The role will define target-state architectures, guide major modernization programs, govern solution design, and ensure resilient, secure, and cost-effective operations.

This position spans business, data, application, integration, infrastructure, cloud, and security architecture, with emphasis on OT/IT convergence and manufacturing execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the 3-5-year target architecture across ERP, IIoT platforms, data mesh/lakehouse systems, ETL, and edge-to-cloud infrastructure.
• Chair the Architecture Review Board (ARB) for manufacturing-aligned initiatives, reviewing and approving solution designs.
• Partner with Product and Program Owners to de-risk major programs such as ERP modernization (SAP S/4
  
  HANA, Oracle, Dynamics) and plant network segmentation.
• Establish architectural standards and guardrails for integration patterns and cloud/on-prem/edge deployments.
• Define and embed non-functional requirements (availability, recoverability, latency, security, compliance, interoperability) into solutions and SLAs.
• Collaborate globally on network segmentation, asset inventory, patching, backup/restore, and change control for production-critical systems.
• Partner with Data/AI teams to define data domains, MDM structures, and shop-floor-to-cloud data pipelines.
• Enable real-time analytics, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, energy monitoring, and computer vision use cases.
• Implement security-by-design practices, including Zero Trust, identity controls, segmentation, encryption, secrets management, and secure SDLC.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements across manufacturing and enterprise environments.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing IT/OT environments.
• 10+ years of experience with SQL, Snowflake, and Informatica Power Center/IICS ETL tools.
• 10+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• 10+ years in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• 10+ years in security architecture, including ISA/IEC 62443 for industrial control systems and Zero Trust.
• 10+ years of experience with cloud architectures, hybrid/edge patterns, and network fundamentals such as segmentation and SD-WAN.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with integration patterns (APIs, EDI, message queues, event streams, OPC UA, MQTT) and data platforms (lake/lakehouse, streaming).
• 8+ years of strong experience with Snowflake's capabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership in architecture governance, road mapping, and influencing cross-functional leaders across IT, OT, supply chain, quality, engineering, and finance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with S/4
  
  HANA transformation programs, global MES standardization, or greenfield/brownfield plant rollouts.
• Experience with PLM/ALM systems and digital thread solutions; experience with EAM/CMMS platforms (Maximo, Infor, SAP PM).
• Experience with Industry 4.0 platforms (PTC, Siemens, Rockwell, Ignition, AVEVA) and IIoT implementations.
