Early Years Teaching Assistant

Milk Education is working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in Morpeth to recruit a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant for a full-time, temporary position within their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team.

This role will start after February half term
, run initially until Easter
, and may be extended until the summer term for the right candidate.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support children’s learning and development within the EYFS setting
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, play-based learning activities
• Provide 1:1 and small group support where required
• Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
• Support children’s social, emotional and educational development
• Assist with daily routines and classroom organisation

• Has experience working with young children (nursery, preschool, EYFS or reception)
• Is caring, patient and enthusiastic
• Has a good understanding of early childhood development
• Is a strong team player
• Holds relevant childcare qualifications (desirable but not essential)
• Is passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives
