Are you passionate about providing exceptional service in a fast‑paced, friendly environment? The Hilton Garden Inn Morgantown is looking for a Morning Server to join our team! As a morning shift (5:30am – 1:00pm) server, you’ll be the face of our hotel’s food and beverage experience, providing friendly, efficient, and professional service to our guests. You’ll ensure every guest leaves with a positive impression, enjoying delicious meals and top‑notch service.
Responsibilities include taking and delivering orders, ensuring tables are clean and tidy, presenting menus, and maintaining a polite and friendly attitude.
Compensation: $10.00 per hour, plus gratuities. Total hourly compensation averages + gratuities, also based on experience.
What You'll Be Doing- Greet guests and assist with seating as needed.
- Present menus and daily specials; answer questions about food and beverages.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and coordinate with the kitchen and bar.
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items, wines, and beverages.
- Handle payments and operate cash registers accurately.
- Monitor guests during meals to ensure all needs are met.
- Suggest desserts and deliver them promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization at all times.
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Previous restaurant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of state liquor laws and responsible alcohol service.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Availability to work 5:30am – 1:00pm
