RN - Stepdown Inpatient

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement:
  Every weekend night shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
• Patient ratios: 1:6 for floor patients, 1:3 for stepdown patients
• Work with both floor and stepdown patients in trauma, general surgery, and bariatric surgery
• Must have experience with complex wound care, drains, devices, and traumatic injuries
• Required to manage chest tubes, respiratory support, traumatic brain injuries, and complex spinal cord injuries
• Must be able to read and validate telemetry strips
• Floating to similar units (floor/stepdown) required
• Holiday requirement:
  Will work into permanent staff holiday schedule as needed
• Required certification: BLS
• Dress code:
  Royal Blue scrubs
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• 2 shifts per 13-week contract cancellation policy
• Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from facility
• Handle titratable drips including Heparin, PCAs on floor level and Insulin, Cardizem on stepdown level

The unit features both stepdown and floor patients, offering nurses experience with two levels of care.

The facility maintains collaborative relationships with care management, surgical and medical services, rehabilitation services, and perioperative services, with 24/7 respiratory therapy support and budgeted free charge nurses.
