Job Opportunity – Step Down RN – West Virginia

Start Date: February 23, 2026
Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with every other weekend coverage

Highlights:

• Lower acuity step down unit with typical 1:4 patient ratio (1:5 during emergencies)
• 13-week contract with potential for extension
• Primary patient population includes cardiac, cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology, and general medical/surgical cases
• 36-bed unit with daily census of approximately 34 patients
• Cerner EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• No drip titration required on this unit

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license acceptable)
• Minimum 2 years total RN experience required
• At least 1 year Med/Surg or Telemetry experience and 2 years Step Down experience
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association required)
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred
• Two manager or charge nurse references within the past 2 years
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case)
