Provides nursing support to the physician and delivers direct patient care in an inpatient setting.

• Provides direct patient care as outlined in the patient’s plan of care and promotes comfort and functional health.
• Coordinates with the Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist to seek guidance as necessary.
• Performs designated therapeutic procedures to assigned patients.
• Accurately observes, records, and reports patient concerns, symptoms, and progress in a timely manner.
• Assists physicians and the overseeing role with examinations and procedures as assigned.
• Contributes to nursing assessment by collecting, reporting, and recording objective and subjective data.
• Documents nursing interventions and responses to care and communicates to the health care team.
• Accurately and safely administers intramuscular, subcutaneous, IV, oral, nebulization, and/or MDI delivered medications assigned.
• Obtains instruction and supervision as necessary from the overseeing role when implementing nursing technique or practices.

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi‑state Licensed Practical Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable) as required for regulated areas.
• One year clinical experience or preferred experience as one year clinical experience.

• Heavy/Hard work: requires strength, stamina, lifting, moving, stooping, reaching, standing, walking; carrying patients, materials, and equipment weighing 40+ lbs daily.

• Protracted or irregular hours.
• Exposure to biohazards, communicable diseases, and possible toxins such as radiological and chemical.
• Working with or near the deceased.
• Working with hands in waters.
• Electrical hazards associated with patient care equipment.

• Ability to work successfully under highly stressful conditions and adapt to varying workloads and assignments on a constant basis.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Skilled with computer systems used by physician offices and hospitals to capture data accurately and consistently.
• Team member in respect to organization, communication, and task prioritization; willing to work weekends, holidays, and all shifts.

• 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• 7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
