Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Telemetry position requiring a WV or compact license and strong telemetry skills.

• Work in a stepdown unit of a hospital setting
• Patient ratios are typically 1:4, with occasional 1:5 ratios during emergencies
• Lower acuity stepdown environment with no drips managed
• Responsible for telemetry monitoring and IV starts
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• EMR system used is Cerner
• Travel experience is not required for this assignment
• Scrubs are not provided; burgundy and/or white scrubs are required
• Attendance policy allows only 2-3 call offs per contract
• Possible contract extension available
• Teamwork and strong communication skills are essential for success in this environment

• Active WV or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications in BCLS and ACLS required
• Minimum of 2 years of stepdown experience required
• At least 1 year of MS/Tele experience required
• Must be able to interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• IV start and telemetry skills required
