Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical unit night shift position requiring at least 2 years of experience and a current WV or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00pm-7:30am) including weekdays and weekends
- Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:7
- 13-week contract with possible extension
- EMR system used is Cerner
- No scrubs provided; travelers must bring their own
- Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed but unit will try to accommodate requests
- Strict attendance policy allowing only 2-3 call offs per contract
- References from managers or charge nurses within the past year are required for consideration
- Active WV or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- Certifications required:
Basic Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - No travel nursing experience required
