Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a busy telemetry-capable unit, requiring a WV or compact RN license and night shift availability.
Responsibilities- Work in a 34-bed Med/Surg unit with telemetry in a hospital environment
- Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:7
- Night shifts available in either 4x12 or 3x12 hour blocks, 19:00-07:30
- Weekend work is required for at least 3 weekends during each 4-week period
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Provide nursing care for a diverse Med/Surg and telemetry patient population
- Must comply with facility attendance expectations regarding call-offs
- Scrubs are not provided and must be supplied by the nurse
- Candidates should expect weekend and holiday coverage as needed
- Active WV or compact RN license required
- Current BCLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
- Experience with telemetry monitoring required
- No previous travel experience required
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
