The Facilities Manager supports daily terminal and facility operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant handling, storage, and distribution of petroleum and related products. This role works closely with the Terminal Manager to oversee personnel, maintenance, logistics coordination, and regulatory compliance. The position plays a key part in ensuring operational excellence and adherence to PTL's safety and service standards.
Only one position is available. Open to local candidates in Morgantown, WV OR Nitro, WV.
Facilities Support- Assist in managing day-to-day warehouse/facilities operations, including product handling, loading, and unloading products.
- Ensure compliance with PTL operational procedures and industry regulations for product quality and safety.
- Support inventory management, product transfers, and reconciliation processes.
- Monitor and maintain bulk plant, storage tanks, and loading racks to ensure proper operation and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with dispatch, transportation, and safety teams to ensure timely and accurate product deliveries.
- Manage facility repair and maintenance, prepare budget reports, coordinate contractors, and direct site activities.
- Manage facilities staff, communicating work schedules, driving performance objectives, and providing professional development.
- Assist in managing vendor relationships and maintenance contracts.
- Participate in capital improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
- Support facility maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance and facility cleanliness.
- Promote and uphold PTL's "Safety First" culture across all operations.
- Assist with safety meetings, inspections, and compliance audits (DOT, OSHA, EPA, and local regulations).
- Support incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective action implementation.
- Maintain records and documentation required for environmental and safety compliance.
- Provide daily direction to warehouse staff and ensure proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
- Encourage a positive, collaborative work environment focused on accountability and service.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent and high-quality customer service.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and other departments to resolve operational issues promptly.
- Provide updates to management on operational performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
- Must have 3-5 years' experience in facilities management.
- Knowledge of fuel handling, storage, and transportation safety standards.
- Supervisory or lead experience in an industrial or logistics setting a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and EPA compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics/maintenance management systems.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and time-management abilities.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
