Roughneck

Overview

Roughnecks 1-3 make up the ground crew in snubbing services at Mid Atlantic Energy Services. These workers have had some experience in the oil and gas industry, and specifically standalone snubbing units, and have begun working through the MAES Snubbing Services Competency Program. These workers are responsible for all ground operations, including but not limited to: cleaning and inspecting tubing, running the catwalk and moving tubing in/out of the snubbing basket, inventory and ground maintenance and repairs, operating forklift and aerial baskets and miscellaneous labor, as required.

• Able to lift
• Able to work 12+ hours at a time, outdoors and in all weather conditions.
• Able to push/pull and complete repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
• Able to life and maneuver items overhead
• Able to use hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, etc. without mobility restrictions.
• High tolerance for busy, noisy and high stress environments
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable working at heights
• Able to work out of town for extended periods of time (up to 28 days)
• Must be able to successfully complete a competency evaluation for the respective position

• Experience:
  
  6+ months of experience in oil and gas operations, preferably snubbing services
• Education:
  
  Must be able to read, write and perform basic math functions / Safeland or OSHA 10 training required
• Schedule:
  
  13 hour shifts, alternating days and nights on a 28/14 schedule
• Requirements:
  Pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, background check and a clean driving record
