Family Law Attorney – Litigation

. Handle divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, and other domestic relations cases from intake to resolution, including contested litigation. We seek a client-focused, organized attorney who thrives in a professional, fast-paced environment and has both legal expertise and compassion.

• Manage full caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, and support cases
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
• Develop case strategies and plans from intake to resolution
• Maintain professional, clear communication with clients
• Collaborate with paralegals and administrative staff for efficient case management

• Active West Virginia law license (or ability to obtain)
• JD degree from an accredited law school
• 2+ years of family law litigation experience preferred
• Strong courtroom, mediation, and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines

• Prior trial experience in family law
• Familiarity with WV family law statutes and procedures
• Experience handling contested custody/support cases

• Established caseload and steady workflow
• Support from paralegals and administrative staff
• Collaborative culture with autonomy in case management
