Must-Have:
Knowledge of Varian linear accelerators.
Ability to administer external beam radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.

Description:

The unit has 1 CT Simulation scanner and 1 Linear accelerator.
There are no requirements to float or cover other areas.
Common types of imaging performed include image-guided radiation therapy and CBCT.
The average number of therapeutic radiation treatments administered per day is 30-35.
Additionally, there are 3-5 CT simulations performed daily.
The department utilizes ARIA and EPIC for electronic medical records.
Department specific equipment includes GE Lightspeed and Varian 2100 IX.
Radiation oncologists or covering physicians are available during treatment hours.
Starting IVs is not required in this department.
The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
There are no weekend or holiday requirements.
Scrub color and dress code can be discussed; scrubs are not provided.
Cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks.
Charting system used is EPIC.
A BSN is not required for this position.
Certifications required include BLS (AHA) and Certified Radiation Therapist - ARRT (T) verification.
