• Lead the expansion of genetic counseling across specialties, from oncology and maternal-fetal medicine to pediatrics and adult care.

• The Lead Genetic Counselor provides direct patient care while serving as an administrative, clinical, and educational leader for WVU Medicine and Peak Health. This position plays a central role in:
• Developing and implementing system-wide genetic counseling protocols and best practices
• Mentoring and supporting a growing team of genetic counselors
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams
• Driving policy development related to genetic testing and treatment coverage
• Expanding access to high-quality genetic counseling across our network
• This unique opportunity includes a balanced mix of leadership and clinical practice, with approximately 50% administrative and 50% clinical focus.

• Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling or related field
• Board Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC)
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Genetic Counselor; leadership experience preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical genetics, quality improvement, and education
