*** Distributes fresh water every shift and as needed
* Disposes of soiled linen every shift
* Maintains clean and orderly unit
* Maintains and stocks unit supplies
* Practices clean and sterile technique in the delivery of patient care while maintaining Body Substance Isolation.
* Aware of the location of equipment and supplies on the nursing unit.
* Keeps nurse informed about department activities or problems.
* Establishes and maintains good rapport with hospital personnel.
* Establishes and maintains good rapport with patients and families.
* Explains tasks to patients.
* Provides emotional support to patient and family.
