- Perform routine quality control test procedures including concrete and nuclear moisture/density testing
- Complete and submit daily reports and Job Hazard Analysis forms
- Follow all corporate and job site safety procedures
- Familiar with applicable plans and specifications
- Notify supervisor or Project Manager immediately of problems and deviations from plans and specifications
- Frequent exposure to clients
- May occasionally make limited recommendations in the field
- May have limited responsibility for training or direction of other entry-level technicians
- Maintain a driving record free of specific violations
- May perform field work within other company disciplines
- May schedule client meetings and/or additional services
- May occasionally attend job site related meetings
- May occasionally perform routine testing in the lab
- Strive to make each project profitable
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
No formal experience required. Construction-related training or technical training desirable. Certifications in Concrete and Soil preferred.
Other Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle; must possess the ability to read, write and perform basic math; must be comfortable communicating with the public; must be comfortable performing basic computer functions; must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments.
Physical Requirements and ADA Statement:
This position may require long-term standing and repetitive motions. Must have the ability to use your hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit. Must have the ability to see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus. The employee will regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;
frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds; occasionally move 80 pounds or more (such as a loaded wheelbarrow of concrete or soil samples). Reasonable accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities, as defined by the ADA.
