Job Description

NNE is seeking a Drilling & Completions Technician for its Morgantown, WV office. This position is a pivotal role responsible for supporting achievement of company goals and objectives by managing operational data, regulatory documentation, performance analytics, and cross functional coordination. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of drilling and completions programs while maintaining high quality reporting and communication across internal teams and external partners.

This position requires the candidate to work on-site; it is NOT a remote position.

Drilling Responsibilities

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct performance analysis to support continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and compare drilling costs to budget and historical benchmarks.
  • Track and report emissions data in alignment with regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Compile pre‑spud regulatory compliance packets.
  • Gather and organize site safety plans, permits, and procedures for field availability.
  • Maintain accurate data management systems and operational records.
  • Collaborate with Drilling Engineer and field personnel to create rig layout drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Assist Drilling Engineer with drilling and plugging procedure development.
  • Support regulatory reporting and data gathering for drilling operations.
  • Prepare and submit WW‑6B permitting documentation for new wells.
  • Complete WR‑35 and PJR documentation for end‑of‑well reporting.
  • Support WellEZ setup, data accuracy, and reporting for new wells.
  • Assist Drilling and Completions teams with well handover documentation.
  • Gather data for third‑party non‑operated partner reporting.
  • Provide support for miscellaneous projects across engineering and field teams.

Completions Responsibilities

  • Review and validate WellEZ reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain and update activity logs for completions operations.
  • Upload chemical disclosure data to Frac Focus.
  • Collect and organize data for new pad development and performance tracking.
  • Support pricing model development for completions operations.
  • Track and report fuel consumption for completions activities.
  • Assist with sand and trucking logistics tracking.
  • Analyze completions efficiency metrics and maintain the completions performance database.

Qualifications and

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience in drilling, completions, or oil and gas operations strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with data management tools such as Microsoft Office, Power BI, Spotfire, WellEZ and AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across field and office teams.
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
