Join Our Team as a Urology Physician – Make a Difference in Patients' Lives
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Urology Physician to provide exceptional care in a dynamic hospital setting.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient health outcomes while working within a supportive team dedicated to your success. If you are passionate about urology and ready to take on challenging cases in a Level 4 trauma center, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care for adults aged 18 and above with general urological conditions.
- Support emergency and trauma cases, including procedures such as stent placements, stone removal, and clot evacuation.
- Manage approximately 1-2 patients per day on Fridays, with variable consults over weekends (typically 5-10 per day) and occasional OR cases.
- Ensure accurate documentation using Cerner EMR.
- Collaborate with hospital staff to deliver high-quality care during scheduled call coverage shifts.
- Board Certification in Urology.
- Valid state medical license or eligibility for IMLC or WV temporary license.
- DEA certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in urology.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to perform all general urological procedures.
Skills:
- Experience in trauma or high-volume hospital settings.
- Additional certifications or specialized training in urologic surgeries.
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system.
- Ability to work independently with minimal support during weekend shifts.
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Proven track record of working in a Level 4 trauma hospital.
- Relevant procedural experience in both clinics and the operating room.
- Willingness to obtain licensure in West Virginia if not already licensed.
- Availability for scheduled shifts starting May 15, 2026, with credentialing expected within 60 days.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care during 3x24-hour shifts (7:00 am to 7:00 am).
Hourly Pay Rate: $3,120.00
