Join WVU Medicine for the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician role. Ranks available:
Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV.
Successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at other worksites, including but not limited to WVU Hospitals, Inc., University Health Associates, and other locations in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania; travel is anticipated.
Duties- Practice in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows; participate in clinical teaching and supervision.
- MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent); eligible for state medical license.
- Completed pediatrics residency; completed developmental-behavioral fellowship.
- Board certified or eligible in developmental-behavioral pediatrics.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Opportunities exist to develop or collaborate on research initiatives spanning DBP and related clinical/translational research. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team of physicians, APPs, psychologists, neuropsychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and BCBAs who provide direct clinical services, training, and research through the Department of Pediatrics and the Neurodevelopmental Center.
WVU Medicine Children's Hospital provides access to advanced pediatric resources. WVU is a comprehensive research university with the Carnegie Foundation ranking; WVU Medicine is the affiliated health system with WVU Health System, and the flagship J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Location:
Morgantown, West Virginia. Morgantown is within a short drive of Pittsburgh, PA and Washington, DC. The area offers a family-friendly environment with good schools and recreational activities.
