Our client, a growing manufacturing company with government contracts, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team in Morgantown, WV. The organization has experienced steady growth over the past several years and is looking for a motivated accounting professional who can support day-to-day accounting operations and contribute to the continued success of the company.
Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant will assist with month-end close, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records
The Staff Accountant will support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
Assist with financial reporting and internal documentation requirements
The Staff Accountant will help ensure compliance with accounting standards and government contract requirements
Qualifications of the Staff Accountant Role
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
Experience with Quick Books preferred
Strong Excel skills required, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
