Position: Eddy Current Level IIA
Are you looking for a new career? Here is a great opportunity to work with an outstanding company! American Efficiency Services () is looking for a senior Eddy Current Level IIA or III to perform testing at power plants and other industrial sites worldwide.

This position requires the ability to perform physical work and travel extensively. American Efficiency Services (AES) will train and provide uniforms, tools, and safety equipment. Must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment, and random drug testing.

This is a full-time position, and and the starting salary range is $23 to $45 per hour based upon relevant experience . Opportunity for advancement to managerial positions for hard working employees.

Summary:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must be proficient in performing Eddy Current inspections to the client's expectations utilizing Corestar equipment and software.
  • Proficient in Eddy Current testing equipment; capable of performing calibration tests.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Eddy Current inspection.
  • Must be able to inspect and interpret test results.
  • Must be proficient in documenting results of the Eddy Current inspection(s).
  • Must be able to identify all unacceptable discontinuities for location and dimension.
  • Must be mechanically inclined to identify failures in the Eddy Current inspection equipment.
  • Must be capable of servicing projects with limited supervision.
  • Perform examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified, and exercise assigned responsibility for OJT and guidance of trainees.
  • Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and work priorities to meet customer expectations.
  • Be able to prepare written instructions and to organize and report the results of examinations.
  • Work independently and support team members.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as needed and assigned by supervisors.
  • Have a basic understanding or greater of other Non-Destructive Evaluations (NDE) such as Ultrasonic (UT), Leak Detection (LD) and other like evaluations.
  • Willing to assist in other service lines when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of NDE level IIA or level III experience.
  • Provide documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method(s); have a working knowledge of industrial environments and general manufacturing processes; ability to effectively communicate with other departments, and customers to report issues and solve problems.
  • Tubing experience
  • Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  • Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office includes Excel, Word, Dynamics, SharePoint preferred.
Work Conditions
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, and elevated platforms.
  • Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
  • Work around operating equipment and industrial environments.
  • Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time.
