Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer
As Software Engineer II Full Stack, you will be working on a product squad to develop new features and enhancements for our product. You should demonstrate mastery of the fundamentals of computer science and be comfortable implementing and shipping end-to-end features and fixing complicated issues with light supervision from a senior engineer. You should also be comfortable using AI coding tools to accelerate delivery and be able to review and validate AI‑generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and alignment with team standards.

This is a fullstack position and successful candidates will demonstrate comfort working across both frontend and backend. San Francisco Bay area candidates would be in office 2‑3 days/week at our Morgan Hill, CA office for collaboration.
What you will do- Work directly with an engineering manager and other software engineers
- Self‑starter with the ability to work effectively in a multi‑disciplined team with a product manager, product designer and QA engineer
- Have a strong sense of teamwork and put the team’s and company’s interests first
- Must be able to operate in a fast‑moving environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
- Experience designing, building, and operating production services
- Experience building and operating high performance multi‑tier web applications, including REST APIs and optimized database operations
- At least 2 years of professional experience
- Strong fundamentals of building end‑to‑end web applications using JavaScript or Type Script
- Experienced with Git and Git Hub
- Experienced working with AI coding tools like Cursor & Claude Code
- Container services such as Kubernetes experience is a plus
- Pub Sub/Eventing pattern experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. What you’ve built matters more than where you studied.
In the United States, the range is typically a salary of $115,000 to $135,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. The range provided is Shopmonkey’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount will be based on job‑related and non‑discriminatory factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities. Consult with your Recruiter during the initial call to determine a more targeted range based on these job‑related factors.
