General PurposeThe Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership who is responsible for a specific, assigned area of the store as well as the general operations and supervision when the Manager on Duty is absent. Responsibilities include opening and closing the store, supervising associates, maintaining a friendly environment, ensuring merchandise presentation, and executing company operational processes.
Essential Functions- Maintain a safe & secure environment by practicing safety behaviors, monitoring the sales floor, securing entrances/exits, and responding to alarms.
- excellent customer service, treat all customers and associates with respect, and recognize associates through company programs.
- Represent the company brand, maintain a professional appearance, keep the store clean and merchandised, and manage daily trash removal.
- Oversee merchandising activities: recovery, sizing, markdowns, receiving merchandise trucks, processing inbound deliveries, and maintaining stockroom organization.
- Enforce loss‑prevention policies, conduct package inspections, and maintain PVM systems.
- Supervise front‑end operations, including cashier training, shortage control, and equipment checks, while managing line pace.
- Ensure fitting rooms are clean, garment tags audited, and merchandise returns handled according to policy.
- Perform administrative duties such as cash pulls, payroll administration, and scheduling as assigned.
- Manages work processes and prioritizes tasks.
- Demonstrates business acumen, builds talent, collaborates, and leads by example.
- Communicates effectively and ensures accountability.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and fluency in English.
- Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in a retail environment.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
Ability to use store equipment, stand, walk, move, bend, squat, kneel, carry, lift up to 25 lbs, and use janitorial equipment as required.
Base Pay Range$18.00 – $18.50 per hour, with additional rewards based on location and performance.
