Division Quality Leader​/Manager

Description

The divisional head of quality in a wire harness assembly contract manufacturing company is responsible for overseeing and ensuring all products meet rigorous quality standards, leading the implementation of quality control processes, and driving continuous improvement throughout manufacturing operations.

• Setting and maintaining standards for wire harness assembly quality (including compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620, ISO 9001 and ISO-13485).
• Overseeing all aspects of Quality and Quality Assurance including but not limited to, inspection processes, documentation and oversight of SOP’s and Procedures, corrective actions for nonconforming products, and Training.
• Training and mentoring quality technicians and inspectors in industry standards, defect prevention, and process improvement.
• Ensuring the implementation of traceable quality checkpoints and in-process inspections from incoming materials to final product validation.
• Leading cross-functional teams for root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues (using methods such as 8D, CAPA, Six Sigma).
• Driving continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives, including automation and process optimization.
• Responsible for all audits, findings and deliverables associated with audit findings.

• Deep knowledge of wire harness assembly processes and relevant technical drawings.
• Familiarity with industry standards, especially IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification, ISO 9001 and ISO
  13485.
• Experience with problem-solving tools (8D, CAPA, Six Sigma) and quality systems (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA).
• Ability to lead and train teams in defect prevention and quality improvement processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and change management skills to liaise with engineering, production, and external customers.
• Must be fluent in English, including strong verbal and written communication skills (Spanish & Vietnamese communication skills helpful).
