Position Summary

Silence Aloud, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Peer Support Specialist at The Bridge Wellness Center, a youth drop-in center located in Moreno Valley.

The Peer Support Specialist will assist the case management team with navigating youth in the YHDP (Youth Housing Development Program) with their essential needs.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, mission-driven with a understanding of youth homelessness, diversion, and behavioral health systems. The Peer Support Specialist must be adaptable, as this role will evolve in response to organizational growth.

Job Summary:

The Peer Support Specialist / Navigator will provide peer support and navigation services to youth, leveraging lived experience to connect with clients and guide them through available resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offer peer support and mentorship to youth clients.
  • Assist clients in navigating services and resources.
  • Facilitate support groups and peer-led activities.
  • Advocate for clients and provide emotional support.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and accurate records.
  • Collaborate with case managers and other staff.
Qualifications
  • Lived experience with homelessness, mental health, or related issues.
  • Certification as a Peer Support Specialist preferred.
  • Strong communication and empathy skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent degree.
