Registered Nurse II​/III MC​/CHC - Per Diem - MSC Family Care Clinic - Express Care

Job Summary

County of Riverside – Riverside University Health System – Community Health Center (RUHS‑CHC) is recruiting a Per Diem Registered Nurse II/III MC/CHC for the MSC Family Care Clinic – Express Care in Moreno Valley. The nurse will support daily clinical operations and deliver high‑quality patient care.

• Triage patients, room them for evaluation, and assist with discharge processes.
• Transport patients to the ED when necessary.
• Perform point‑of‑care testing and document results accurately.
• Maintain inventory levels, complete required logbooks and documentation.
• Support medication and vaccine management.
• Assist physicians in administering treatments, performing examinations, diagnostic tests, and surgical operations.
• Administer prescribed medications and chart treatments.
• Provide nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with physician instructions.
• Advise patients and families on medical issues and care plans.
• Maintain concise records and reports, and transcribe physician orders.
• Provide orientation and training for new staff and students.
• Participate in quality assurance reviews and serve as team leader or relief charge nurse.
• Assign and monitor subordinate nursing personnel; identify training needs.
• Coordinate patient hospitalization processes and follow discharge plans.

• Registered Nurse II MC/CHC – $68.0905 per hour.
• Registered Nurse III MC/CHC – $77.1585 per hour.

5/40 – Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

• Valid Registered Nurse license in California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Registered Nurse II MC/CHC

• Education:
  
  Completion of education required for RN license; a bachelor's degree may be required for some positions.
• Experience:
  
  At least one year of full‑time RN experience in an acute care hospital, outpatient clinic, or healthcare agency. Interim Permit Nurse experience may be credited.

Registered Nurse III MC/CHC

• Education:
  
  Same as above.
• Experience:
  
  Equivalent to three years of full‑time RN experience in an acute care facility or community health agency. Advanced degrees may substitute for experience.

• Knowledge of nursing principles, medical terminology, equipment, medication effects, community resources, and regulations.
• Ability to perform nursing duties, plan and organize care plans, maintain records, collaborate with physicians, assist in instruction of entry‑level staff, evaluate medical records, and identify discharge needs.

• Maintain current RN license in California.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Valid California Driver’s License may be required.
