Overview
The Riverside University Health System (RUHS) is recruiting for an experienced Registered Nurse to work in the 4100 Medical/Surgical Unit (regular, full-time). The 4100 Medical/Surgical Unit (RUHS' designated Stroke Unit) has 34 private rooms and specializes in medical-surgical patients. The nurses care for stroke patients, including NIHSS, and for patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
Required Licenses & Certifications- Current and valid RN License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- 3/12, Day Shift

Examples of Essential Duties- Education:
Successful completion of the education required to obtain a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California. A bachelor s degree may be required for some positions. - Experience:
Equivalent to one year of full-time RN experience in an acute care hospital, clinic outpatient setting, or healthcare agency program. Evaluations and references must show proficiency of practice as a Registered Nurse. - Knowledge/Ability:
