Overview
The County of Riverside's Diagnostic Imaging Department at Riverside University Health System's Medical Center seeks Radiologic Technologists to join our team in Moreno Valley. This job posting will fill regular full-time and Per Diem vacancies. Applicants may specify their shift preferences in the application.
New Grads within one month of program completion are welcome to apply. New Grad offers will be contingent upon successful receipt of licensure.

Schedule- Schedule for Regular Positions:
Day and swing shifts, rotating weekends, Holiday, and on-call required. - Schedule for Per Diem position:
Swing shift - Minimum of 4 shifts per month.
Regular Full-time Rates: $35.0786 - 53.2526 Hourly
Per Diem Rate: $53.2526

Responsibilities- Provides diagnostic services to patients to produce images; prepares, positions and transfers patients; selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
- Operates equipment as directed; provides patient protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Assists physicians in the administering of contrast media; assures the technical quality and the proper functioning of equipment within designated areas.
- Maintains adequate records; maintains orderliness and cleanliness of all work areas; secures and returns supplies.
- Instructs students and ancillary personnel; assists in the use of a variety of equipment or procedures.
- Assists in the development of technical factors; records patient information.
- Maintains an effective work relationship with patients, visitors, departmental and hospital staff.
- Experience:
Recent experience in an acute care setting in a full-service hospital as a radiologic technologist is preferred but not required. - Knowledge:
The principles, techniques and methods applicable to radiologic technology; the operation and care of radiographic equipment; structural and organic anatomy; the principles of radiography, film processing and development; federal, state, local laws and regulations governing radiation safety. - Ability:
Understand and follow highly detailed instructions; learn to understand, operate equipment and materials used in examinations; deal effectively with and understand the various types and conditions of patients; produce quality radiographs; prepare records and reports; establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, nurses, patients, and fellow workers. - License/Certificate:
Possession of a valid license to practice as a Certified Radiologic Technologist in the State of California that includes a valid fluoroscopy permit as issued by the California State Department of Health Services. (An applicant lacking a California Certified Technologist License may be temporarily employed subject to the requirements of the California State Bureau of Radiological Health.) - Driver’s License:
Possession of a valid California Driver’s License may be required. - BLS Certification:
Possession of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
