• Routinely provides pastoral care for individuals and groups in all inpatient areas and can serve in outpatient areas as needed.
• Assesses spiritual and emotional needs of patients, families, and personnel while respecting their religious beliefs.
• Covers on‑call shifts; arrives at the facility within 20 minutes of being paged.
• Provides effective pastoral intervention during codes and other patient crises, including at the time of patient death.
• 募 uses technology to document accurate information on each patient and family encounter in the patient’s electronic medical record.

• Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide total patient care.
• Makes referral to patient’s pastor for sacramental ministry as requested.

Bachelor’s Degree in theology or equivalent degree required;
Master’s Degree in theology, pastoral ministry, or equivalent degree preferred.

Three years’ experience in healthcare chaplaincy or equivalent ministerial experience preferred.

• Ordination and current ecclesiastical endorsement within their denomination required.
• Units of Clinical Pastoral Education preferred.
• Actively working toward certification by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or Association of Professional Chaplains forbid APf). preferred.
