The department of Sociology, Social Work & Criminology at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track position as an Assistant Professor, Social Work. The anticipated start date is August 10, 2026.

Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town, nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. This location provides opportunities for a wide range of outdoor recreation activities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach 24 credit hours per academic year as assigned by department chair, with primary responsibility in Social Work instruction. Additional teaching may include general education or First Year Seminar courses. Engaging in scholarly activity (research, artistic activity and professional development) is expected.

REQUIREMENTS: MSW and Doctorate Degree in Social Work required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching experience in a higher education environment. Qualifications to teach research methods and data analysis.
