Are You Ready to Make a Difference?Our client is seeking an experienced Preschool Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations at one of their licensed early learning programs in the Morehead City, North Carolina area
. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who values compliance, team development, and child-centered programming.
The Preschool Site Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a licensed child care center, ensuring compliance with North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) regulations. This role provides leadership to staff, supports classroom quality, and partners with families to maintain a positive school culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, coach, and support teaching and support staff
Ensure full compliance with NC child care licensing regulations
Maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate environment
Support implementation of age-appropriate curriculum and classroom quality standards
Oversee enrollment, attendance, and child records
Communicate professionally with families and address concerns as needed
Ensure staff-to-child ratios, training requirements, and documentation are met
Support staff onboarding, evaluations, and professional development
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and positive team culture
Required Qualifications (NC Licensing Aligned)Candidates must meet North Carolina Early Childhood Administration requirements
, including one of the following:
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with administrative experience, OR
Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with additional experience and credentials, OR
Equivalent education and experience as permitted by NC DCDEE
Additional requirements:
North Carolina Early Childhood Administrator Credential (Level I or II) or the ability to obtain within the required timeframe
Minimum 2–4 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a licensed child care setting
Strong knowledge of NC child care licensing rules and compliance
Ability to pass required state background checks
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Comfortable using technology and child care management systems
