Irwin and Colton are working with a growing land developer to recruit a site-based Health and Safety Advisor. The business delivers a range of developments, from large housing schemes to mixed use projects. This is a great opportunity for a health and safety professional who wants to build their career within a well-established and expanding developer.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

Supporting health and safety across active developments, making sure company procedures are in place and followed

* Carrying out regular site inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement and reporting findings to site management

* Delivering inductions, toolbox talks and briefings to site teams and subcontractors

* Investigating incidents and near misses and supporting with close out actions

* Working closely with Site Managers and Contracts Managers to drive standards across multiple developments The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:

Experience in a health and safety role ideally from within construction or a related industry

* A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent qualification)

* Good communication skills and the confidence to engage with site teams and subcontractors

* A practical approach with the drive to improve standards on site
