About The Role

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our New Product Development (NPD) team as a New Product Development Assistant. Reporting to the NPD & Costings Manager, you will support the NPD function by assisting with the development of new products and the maintenance and update of existing products, including private label customer projects. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.

Based in Aberlour, Moray, this is an office based role, full time and permanent, working 38 hours per week. 8am - 4:30pm (Mon - Thurs) / 8am - 2:30pm (Fri). The working hours can be reviewed and flexed for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise regularly with Account Managers and customers via email and telephone
  • Copy, distribute and check new and updated artwork
  • Collect and collate artwork comments and amendments for customers and designers
  • Prepare product and packaging samples for internal and external use
  • Request packaging samples from suppliers as required
  • Update NPD progress sheets
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer files, including Shelf life information, Nutrition results, Packaging specifications, NPD project folders
  • Keep benchmarking and taste panel results up to date
About You
  • Proven experience in an administrative role
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail
  • Well organised, self‑motivated and able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with in a technical, product development or food manufacturing environment would be an advantage
