Our client is a team delivering the best solutions for today’s complex unmanned aircraft challenges. We are seeking a talented Firmware/Software engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a professional with 3+ years of experience in producing high-quality, robust embedded firmware. Experience with Embedded Linux is a must.

This position is responsible for development of embedded firmware and requires the ability to work closely with hardware engineers on developing firmware for embedded devices.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain embedded and application software
- Support simulations and algorithm development.
- Create reliable software solutions in compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Design Software in close cooperation with the project hardware engineer to develop system test procedures.
- Perform functional tests of Software modules, subsystems and applications using test tools as well as defined test plans.
- Support deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of software components on a fleet of embedded devices.
- System-level debugging and root cause analysis across hardware and software
This is a full-time position, 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday. Annual salary is $160k/year.

Experience with :- Embedded Linux
- NVIDIA Device tree and drivers
- Various Embedded Linux Based Systems
- Networking and distributed system communication (TCP/UDP, IPC, ZeroMQ)
- Concurrent multi-process application development and Linux service management (systemd)
- Application development for MS Windows
- Programming in C, C++, QT, Python
- Developing communications with low-level embedded devices
- Hardware Interfaces- I2C, CAN, USB, UART, SPI, Ethernet
- Experience with Autopilot is a strong plus:
- Understanding of electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
- A requirement of the position is US Person status (citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence).
- Bachelor's (Required)
- Industry: Min 2 years (Preferred)
- Microcontroller, RTOS, or Embedded Linux:
Min 1 year (Preferred) - NVIDIA Embedded Computing (Jetson, Xavier, Orin):
Min 1 year (Preferred)
- U.S. Person status (Required)
- Relocate to commutable location near the company in Ventura County CA before starting work (Required)
