Production Scheduler

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) is seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to optimize manufacturing schedules and support mission‑critical programs. This role is located in Moorpark, CA and reports to the Value Stream Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all work scheduling actions ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date information drives material and capacity requirements including planning adjustments from unplanned demand, forecast shortfalls, production and inventory changes, and changes in customer demand.
• Review new sales order requests and determine feasible delivery dates.
• Develop production schedules and maintain the visual board for assigned production cell(s), illustrating status of activities for current programs.
• Monthly plan operator and equipment resource loading/capacity planning utilizing MS Project or MS Excel.
• Create weekly work plan for flow through assigned production cell(s).
• Brief daily gemba walk team on current status, obstacles and required assistance.
• Present production area performance (SQDC and Program Status) to senior management when required.
• Work with Product Engineers, Production Planner and Buyers to ensure material flow and production activities are aligned.
• Evaluate production activities for continuous improvement opportunities.
• Present forward‑looking capacity in assigned production cell(s) to site leadership at monthly SIOP meeting.
• Coordinate with Production Manager on manpower planning to align resources with yearly backlog and proposed production requirements.
• Actively contribute to team activities and brief site operations leadership at Quarterly Operating Reviews.

• BS Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering Discipline or equivalent (equivalent experience considered).
• Strong planning and organizational skills with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent organizational, communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office Suite:
  Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to motivate a production workforce.
• Experience with LEAN Manufacturing concept implementation preferred.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $110,000 per year (determined by education, experience, skills and market data).
