Job Details

We are seeking a Takeoffs Project Engineer with strong skills in earthwork estimation to support large-scale, complex projects. This role involves producing accurate material takeoffs, collaborating with project teams, and contributing to competitive, high-quality bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform precise material takeoffs for excavation, grading, paving, demolition, and site preparation.
• Prepare accurate quantity estimates for project budgeting and bid submissions.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and field teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
• Organize and present takeoff documentation for internal and external review.
• Support bid package preparation, subcontractor scope coordination, and pricing reviews.
• Assist in preconstruction planning and change order assessments.
• Maintain and manage estimating data and historical cost records.

Qualifications

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Experience:
  
  2+ years in construction estimation, takeoffs, or project engineering - experience in earthwork, grading, or excavation preferred.
• Software:
  Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel; experience with Procore or other project management tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-driven with a collaborative mindset.
