Job Summary
Eventide on Eighth Care Center is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - PRN (As Needed). The role involves ensuring the highest degree of nursing care for residents while adhering to federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and Eventide’s policies and procedures. Eventide also offers a dynamic work culture.
Shift Details12‑hour day shift (6:30 am – 7:00 pm) or NOC shift (6:30 pm – 7:00 am). Must be available to work a minimum of 24 hours per month and are required to work two weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) each month.
CompensationHourly pay ranges: $36 – $39.24 for RN and $29 – $31.61 for LPN. Shift premiums and differentials are available, including a $2 hour weekend shift differential added to the base wage.

- Experience in long‑term care preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Assess residents’ needs and health status through physical assessments, observations, and interviews.
- Provide individual attention to encourage each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well‑being.
- Observe and follow residents’ plans of care; update and adjust plans as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments and monitor for effectiveness.
- Provide direct nursing care according to established policies, procedures and standards.
- Comply with regulations from the Minnesota or North Dakota Department of Health and CMS.
- Document accurately in electronic medical records.
- Assist in orientation and training of new team members.
- Report resident needs, problems, and observations to the charge nurse and/or attending physician.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for scheduled shifts and correct inadequate staffing as needed.
- Monitor and participate in the disciplinary process for subordinate staff.
- Ensure subordinate staff complete responsibilities accurately within scheduled shifts.
- Provide information, education and support for residents and their families.
- Communicate residents’ needs to care staff as appropriate.
- Interact with physicians and other health‑care facilities as needed.
- Continuously update nursing skills and knowledge through in‑services, continuing education and staff meetings.
- Coordinate and participate in resident care conferences and communicate information effectively to families.
- Promptly report any incidents of abuse, neglect or violation of residents’ rights per policy.
- Manage electronic timecards daily.
- Assist with other tasks as required by Eventide’s philosophy and commitment to quality resident care.
