- Job Title: Maintenance Manager (Heavy Equipment/Trucking)
- Employment Type: Full-Time.
The Maintenance Manager (Heavy Equipment/Trucking) provides leadership and technical expertise across DOT, heavy mobile equipment, diesel, emissions, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. This role is responsible for scheduling and managing preventative maintenance and repair activities to maximize truck efficiency, equipment reliability, and overall operational performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead maintenance operations for heavy earth‑moving equipment and trucking fleet.
- Oversee maintenance and repairs on trucks and heavy mobile equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership on all maintenance‑related matters.
- Manage the maintenance department to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinate planning and resources with internal stakeholders to meet operational demands.
- Align maintenance strategies with production goals and market demand.
- Plan major maintenance projects and develop capital investment recommendations.
- Lead, coach, train, and develop maintenance team members.
- Develop, manage, and monitor department budgets.
- Analyze operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize equipment effectiveness at the lowest sustainable maintenance cost.
- Perform statistical analysis, prepare reports, and maintain department documentation.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process, or Mining Engineering preferred, or 5 years of equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5–7 years of management experience in aggregates or similar industrial operations.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office. SAP experience strongly preferred. - Additional Requirements: Strict adherence to safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators when required. Must meet respirator fit test requirements where applicable.
