Universal Worker/CNA – Full‑Time PM Shift (2p‑10:30p)
Work the PM shift (2p‑10:30p), 64 hours per pay period; includes every other weekend and holiday rotation. Position at our Assisted Living facility.
DescriptionEventide Linden Senior Living is currently seeking a Full‑Time Universal Worker/CNA to provide high‑quality personal care assistance to senior living tenants consistent with federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, as well as Eventide's philosophy, policies and procedures. In addition to personal care, duties include housekeeping, laundry, and planning and enrichment activities as needed.
Ideal Candidate- Must have a current MN CNA license or be able to obtain upon hire
Job Duties
- Assists tenants with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assists tenants with ambulation and/or therapeutic exercises.
- Observes and/or assists with medications that may have been ordinarily self‑administered; may give oral and trans‑dermal medications, patches, eye drops, topical ointments, and suppositories under the direction of a nurse.
- Reads and records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight.
- Provides adequate nutrition and fluid intake through meal preparation.
- Performs blood sugar testing and documents results.
- Provides tenants with emotional and cognitive support.
- Socializes with tenants, listens, converses, and participates in appropriate activities – reading mail, writing letters, etc.
- Gives guidance, redirection, and re‑orientation to tenants as needed.
- Develop a rapport with tenants and families to understand their needs and interests.
- Documents in tenant records as instructed and promptly.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and review of the tenant’s plan of care.
- Recognizes and reports significant changes in the tenant’s health, behavior, or general appearance to the nurse.
- Complies with infection control policies and procedures.
- Recognizes emergencies and carries out emergency procedures according to policy.
- Immediately reports any occurrence of physical or mental abuse or potential for vulnerable adult reports to a supervisor.
- Reviews communication notes at the start of each shift to stay informed of changes that may have occurred.
- Cleans apartments, service areas, and common areas.
- Sorts, washes, dries, and folds personal clothing and linens.
- Re‑stocks supplies as needed.
- Assists with serving meals in the dining room.
- Performs pet care per policy.
Estimated hourly pay range: $18‑$19.62 based on qualifications, experience and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions. A $2 hourly evening shift differential is added to the base wage.
