Process Engineer

Key Activities

• Lead and promote a positive work culture through the Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.
• Recognizes production changes that enhance process efficiency and quality while lowering costs.
• Provides input and direction on key projects assigned to ensure safe and sanitary working conditions which meet all company and regulatory agency policies.
• Coordinates maintenance and capital projects with the Maintenance Superintendent and Engineers to ensure profitable operations.
• Provides technical resources and reviews wastewater management to ensure effective and efficient procedures and processes are implemented and/or followed to achieve minimal wastewater generation during the processing season.
• Provides resources and information to design systems that develop management and union personnel through training to improve skills and factory performance.

• Knowledge of the sugar processing industry is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Successful completion of Engineering Trainee program OR 3 years of experience, 5 – 7 years preferred.

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing and production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This role works closely with production, quality, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure smooth process flow and continuous improvement.
