Overview

Territory Sales Manager – HVAC (Multifamily / Commercial)
Location North Carolina (Field-Based / Hybrid)

A rapidly growing HVAC contractor is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to support expansion within the multifamily and light commercial market
. This role is ideal for a technically strong HVAC professional with sales experience who thrives in a relationship-driven, field-based environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a territory focused on multifamily and property management accounts
  • Identify and build relationships with property management groups and decision-makers
  • Conduct onsite visits, assess HVAC needs, and generate quotes in the field
  • Create and manage sales routes; maintain consistent property touchpoints
  • Partner closely with operations and installation teams to ensure project success
  • Track activity and pipeline using CRM and industry tools
  • Support change orders, renewals, and ongoing service opportunities
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC, building systems, or related mechanical trades
  • Prior experience in HVAC sales, technical sales, or service-based selling
  • Strong understanding of HVAC installation, service, and diagnostics
  • Background in multifamily, apartment maintenance, or commercial HVAC preferred
  • Ability to consult, guide, and problem-solve—not just sell
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in the field
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary ($70k range) plus performance-based commission
