Overview

Food & Beverage Expert – Target (T1505). This role is typically part-time and involves working in Food & Beverage, Deli, Bakery areas to ensure fresh, in-stock, accurately priced products and a positive guest experience.

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience and maintain a fresh, full shopping environment during all hours of operation.
• Uphold and execute Food & Beverage standards, including replenishment, straightening merchandise, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing and storing reserve product.
• Follow all food safety requirements per Target policies and procedures.
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
• Work with vendors to set and adjust salesfloor merchandise displays and keep backroom space organized.
• Identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to policies.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Adhere to federal, state and local adult beverage laws as applicable.
• Operate in-store equipment safely and responsibly; follow PPE and equipment control guidelines.
• Maintain safety, ethics and compliance; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) while complying with laws.
• Greet guests and engage respectfully to assist with needs; thank guests for shopping at Target.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• You are open to a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak times.

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older (Bakery Only).
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred, but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology as directed.
• Ability to work independently and with a team; resolve guest questions quickly; attention to detail.
• Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.

• Ability to climb ladders and handle cash operations as needed.
• Ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds; work in varying temperatures (34°F to
  -10°F) as needed.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable attendance.
• Ability to work in environments with common allergens and varying humidity/temperatures.
